Yesterday was 5 months since my dear Carri went home to our Father in heaven. I thought it would be appropriate to share a memory before I leave for Germany in 6 days.
I am joyful about this new opportunity to serve our Lord Jesus at a Christian Missionary high school overseas, but I know that Carri would have been so much more excited and looking forward to each adventure. She loved all people, and now that her spirit is in the presence of the living God, she can focus all that love on Him. I must rejoice with and for her, while recognizing the loss of seeing that love in action during my daily walk here on earth.
Carri’s desire to be with people, to know them deeply, and to serve them in their needs was her special gift. I pray that I may represent that love and service to the new people I meet in Germany who have never met her. I am grateful for all the family and friends that I know because Carri shared her life with me for over 35 years, and now I will share her life with the people of Black Forest Academy and Kandern, Germany.
