Preparations Continue

It is now 24 days and counting before I depart for Germany. I have completed all training, but I am still busy preparing for the academic responsibilities I will have shortly after I arrive. The support and encouragement from family and friends is great and I know I will miss then once I am out of the country. Planning for Christmas both diverts my attention away from thinking too much about my new adventure and makes all those other details more intense and urgent in the time remaining. I am looking forward to time with my kids over Christmas, but I know it will be difficult without Carri.
